Wirraka Maya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation is a leading Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) based in South Hedland, Western Australia. Established in 1996, we are proudly governed by Aboriginal people for Aboriginal people, delivering holistic, culturally safe health and wellbeing services across the Pilbara region.
Our vision is to improve the health, wellbeing, and future of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by providing high-quality primary health care, mental health, disability, and social support services.
What We Do
At WMHSAC, we provide a wide range of services, including:
- Primary Health Care: GP services, chronic disease management, maternal & child health.
- Allied Health & Specialists: Visiting medical and allied health practitioners.
- Mental Health & Social Wellbeing: Counselling, social and emotional wellbeing programs.
- Disability Services (NDIS): Assistance with daily living, community participation, and life skills.
- Health Promotion & Prevention: Community health programs, education, and outreach.
- Training & Education: Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering qualifications in Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care.
